Data centers have become the backbone for IT functions and service delivery. Serving as a means of storing information and facilitating crucial business operations, they have become more indispensable than ever. Any disruption in data center operations can cause an entire business to crash. Given which, companies today are on the lookout for higher levels of security, eliminating the risk of blackouts to zero; they seek robust data center infrastructures. Catering to this need with their value-added services is Telemobil (TBI), an Istanbul-based turnkey solution company that undertakes electrical, mechanical and construction works of prestigious sites focusing mainly on data centers.

Founded in 2005, the organization’s profound knowledge and expertise have helped them identify the needs of their customers to deliver tailor-made, end-to-end data center development solutions. “Our first and foremost mission is to provide technological solutions that amplify the productivity of businesses while ensuring that they are capable of offering efficiency and competitive advantages to their customers,” says Mehmet Bariş Muş, CTO of Telemobil.

There are few companies whose focus is providing holistic solution on data centers, where every discipline needs to work in harmony with each other. Due to the presence of various third-party contractors, who lack the coordination to perform effectively, data center development projects fail to meet the performance expectations of clients.
And to execute the same, Telemobil leverages expertise across the design, mechanical, electrical, construction, automation and certification work meant to build data centers. They work closely to plan and assign equipment, materials and other resources suitable to the individual requirements of each discipline.

Telemobil also provides physical security which includes access control, road blockers, VideoWall and perimeter control, among others. From the initiation of the project to the designing, all the way up to the certification, Telemobil offers a comprehensive solution package.

Depending on the customer’s needs, the company also offers modular, customized designed containers. Where the IT equipment requirement is significantly less, Telemobil’s single container solution works best as it comes with limited containers. This compact and compressed solution holds the ability to accommodate the entire IT equipment and infrastructure in a single container. When it comes to advanced IT equipment, multiple container solutions serve the purpose with cooling, remote monitoring, physical security, fire fighting features included. To monitor energy consumption, Telemobil has begun manufacturing high-quality IP-PDUs for an environment-friendly approach.

Partnering with brands such as Vertiv and Schneider Struxureware, the company has acquired expertise in implementing the DCIM software. Enabling operators to manage data center capacity efficiently, it can monitor and record heat consumption.

Citing a recent success story, Mehmet talks about the data centers they designed for Turkcell. Established in Izmir and Ankara, the primary goal throughout the process was energy optimization. Following an environment-friendly basis, while keeping water consumption in mind, rainwater was purified and distributed among various climatization units. Unlike traditional building sites, there was a combined energy saving of 26 per cent as every single component, and mechanical, and construction units were chemical free. With a mission to maintain the efficiency levels even after construction, Telemobil implemented the SCADA and BMS software across the entire mechanical and electrical system in the building. Ensuring high quality and standard during the selection of equipment, even vendors were supposed to pass the field and factory tests. Certified by the LEED program, the Izmir and Ankara data centers offer a secure network infrastructure for users across the globe.

Having carved a niche in the data center market, as part of its future plans, Telemobil wishes to explore the field of virtualization technology to enhance their solution offering and provide their clients with effective data center services.
